Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) are designed to manage stormwater locally, striving to emulate natural drainage processes while promoting infiltration, attenuation, and passive treatment. Their increased integration within building projects is becoming more commonplace, often mandated by local authorities.

At JLF, our expertise extends to offering comprehensive SuDS design, advice, and guidance, complementing our traditional below ground drainage design and detailing services. Our projects span across the entirety of the UK, typically encompassing a combination of conventional below ground drainage systems merged with SuDS elements as needed.

Working through a diverse range of drainage projects

Our portfolio includes diverse undertakings, such as our involvement in devising foul and surface water drainage strategies for a residential development in North Wales. This particular project incorporated surface water attenuation techniques along with the implementation of a flow control device. Additionally, our contributions to a large-scale commercial development in Lancashire showcased a robust surface water design that integrated a series of SuDS features, including attenuation strategies and oil/fuel interceptors.
