Barnstondale Centre

Barnstondale Centre is education and activity facility comprising of various buildings and outdoor areas. The brief was to reconfigure the first floor of one of the buildings to create a space that could be adapted to reflect the required use for a specific activity. This included the installation of a large spanning bi-fold partition to spilt the area into separate rooms. Due to the weight of the proposed partition and its long spanning nature, JLF were instructed to survey the existing building and comment on the allowable loading capacity within the existing floor and roof structure for the proposed bi-fold installation.

JLF visited site to undertake the survey and take any required measurements, carried out a series of design checks, and provide a summary report on the findings.
